ABOUT NBRC

National Brain Research Centre is a specialized deemed to be university dedicated to research in the frontier areas of neuroscience and brain function in health and disease. Scientists and students of NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds and use multidisciplinary approaches to understand the complex processes that form the basis of brain mechanisms. Located over a sprawling campus in the foothills of the Aravali range in Manesar, Haryana, NBRC is an autonomous institute of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

ABOUT PLACEMENT CELL

National Brain Research Centre is the only institute in India dedicated to Neuroscience Research and Education. Scientists and students at NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds, including biological, computational, mathematical, physical, engineering and medical sciences, and use multidisciplinary approaches to unravel secrets of the brain.

The student who get admission to the MSc. And the Ph.D. Courses at NBRC are also taken to have obtained a placement as the M.Sc. Student are provided a fellowship of Rs. 12,000 per month and all admitted students of Ph.D. Course receive a Junior Research Fellowship of Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA (in lieu of hostel accommodation) for the first two years. After two years, they become eligible for a Senior Research Fellowship of Rs. 35, 000/- per month + HRA (in lieu of hostel accommodation).

In addition to these careers, neuroscience is being applied to many other specialist fields, for example: neuro-ethics - the social, legal and ethical consequences of advances in brain research; neuro economics - risk-taking and decision making that influence business and the economy; and neuro-technology - combining engineering and IT with neuroscience.

The Training and Placement Activities have an important role to play in student's future and, therefore, carry importance in terms of engagement of students on their pass out from this centre. The Training and Placement Activities at NBRC are committed to provide all possible assistance to its students in their efforts to find engagement in terms of further studies, i.e. post-doctoral fellowship or any other employment. This continuously strives to help students in pursuing their career goals by acquiring further avenues for their studies or employment. This is accomplished through building a strong partnership amongst students, alumni, faculty members. The placement and Training activities run throughout the course. National and international News and advt. for further opportunities for studies or employment, Job offers, dates of interviews, selection of candidates etc. are announced through the pamphlet/notices in the library / laboratories and other conspicuous sites of the centre. Faculty members are available to respond to student's question and concern of all kinds. The aim is to ensure that students have the information and skills necessary for an effective placement.
