Objectives

Objectives

The objectives of this course are to provide hands-on training to improve quality of research conducted on animals, and to disseminate basic facts and principles to gain knowledge, skills and attitude that are essential for the humane use and care of animals. Animal experiments constitute an extremely important component in both basic and applied research. In order to translate the concepts of basic biology, lab animals play a significant role. Committee for the purpose of Control Supervision and Experimentation on Animal (CPCSEA) being the regulatory and implementing authority for the guidelines also requires every individual conducting animal experiments to be adequately trained.
